There shall be showers of blessing

1. "There shall be showers of blessing"

      This is the promise of love.
      There shall be seasons refreshing,
      Sent from the Saviour above.

Show... ers of blessing - Showers of blessing we need
Mercy drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

2. "There shall be showers of blessing" - Precious reviving again ;
      Over the hills and the valleys Sound of abundance of rain.

3. "There shall be showers of blessing"
      Send them upon us, O Lord!

      Grant to us now a refreshing Come, and now honour Thy word

4. "There shall be showers of blessing"

     Oh, that today they might fall,
      Now as to God we're confessing Now as on Jesus we call

5. "There shall be showers of blessings"

      If we but trust and obey; There shall be seasons refreshing,
      If we let God have His way

There is a land that lies afar

1. There is a land that lies afar - Where grief is all unknown;
   A land where-in the angels sing - Around the heav'nly throne.
    O 'twill be sweet when we shall meet Upon that distant shore,
  Where-on the glorious sun ne'er sets,
  But shines for evermore - But shines for evermore.

2. We are but pilgrims on the earth - And brief our sojourn here:
    But well we know, beyond this vale - There is a brighter sphere.

3. There is a realm of boundless love - A goal for hearts distrest,
    Where all may find endless years - A home among the blest.

There is a fountain filled with blood

1. There is a fountain filled with blood - Drawn from Immanuel's veins;
    And sinners, plunged beneath that flood - Lose all their guilty stains:
    Lose all their guilty stains - Lose all their guilty stains;
    And sinners, plunged beneath that flood - Lose all their guilty stains.

2. The dying thief rejoiced to see - That fountain in his day;
    And there may I, though vile as he - Wash all my sins away:
    Wash all my sins away - Wash all my sins away;
    And there may I, though vile as he - Wash all my sins away.

3. Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood - Shall never lose its power,
    Till all the ransomed ones of God - Be saved, to sin no more:
    Be saved, to sin no more - Be saved, to sin no more;
    Till all the ransomed ones of God - Be saved to sin no more.

4. E'er since by faith I saw the stream - Thy flowing wounds supply,
    Redeeming love has been my theme - And shall be till I die:

    And shall be till I die And shall be till I die;
    Redeeming love has been my theme - And shall be till I die.

5. When this poor lisping, stammering tongue - Lies silent in the grave,
    Then in a nobler, sweeter song - I'll sing Thy power to save:
    I'll sing Thy power to save - I'll sing Thy power to save;
    Then in a nobler, sweeter song - I'll sing Thy power to save.

The love of God is greater far

1. The love of God is greater far - Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
    It goes beyond the highest star - And reaches to the lowest hell.
    The guilty pair, bowed down with care - God gave His Son to win;
    His erring child He reconciled - And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure !
How measureless and strong !
It shall forevermore endure
The saints' and angels' song.

2. When hoary time shall pass away,
    And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
  When men who here refuse to pray,
  On rocks and hills and mountains call;
  God's love, so sure, shall still endure - All measureless and strong;
  Redeeming grace to Adam's race - The saints' and angels' song.

3. Could we with ink the ocean fill,
    And were the skies of parchment made;
    Were every stalk on earth a quill - And every man a scribe by trade;
    To write the love of God above - Would drain the ocean dry;
    Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
    Though stretched from sky to sky

Take my life, and let it be Consecrated Lord

1. Take my life, and let it be Consecrated Lord, to Thee;
    Take my moments and my days - Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands, and let them move
    At the impulse of Thy love Take my feet, and let them be
    Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice, and let me sing Always, only for my king
    Take my lips; and let them be - Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold Not a mite would I withhold !
    Take my intellect! and use Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will, and make it Thine - It shall be no longer mine ;
    Take my heart, it is Thine own It shall be Thy royal throne

6. Take my love my Lord I pour At Thy feet its treasure store ;
    Take myself, and I will be Ever, only, all, for Thee.

Sweet hour of prayer !

1. Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer !
    That calls me from a world of care,
    And bids me at my Father's throne
    Make all my wants and wishes known.
    In seasons of distress and grief,
    My soul has often found relief,
    And oft escaped the tempter's snare
    By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!

2. Sweet hour of prayer ! sweet hour of prayer !
    The joys I feel, the bliss I share
    Of those whose anxious spirits burn
    With strong desires for thy return !
  With such I hasten to the place
    Where God my Savior shows his face,
    And gladly take my station there,
    And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

3. Sweet hour of prayer ! sweet hour of prayer !
    Thy wings shall my petition bear
    To him whose truth and faithfulness
    Engage the waiting soul to bless.
    And since he bids me seek his face,
  Believe his word, and trust his grace,
  I'll cast on him my every care,
  And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!

4. Sweet hour of prayer ! sweet hour of prayer !
    May I thy consolation share
    Till, from Mount Pisgah's lofty height
    I view my home and take my flight

     In my immortal flesh I'll rise
    To seize the everlasting prize
    And shout, while passing through the air
    "Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer"

Standing on the promises

1. Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
    Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
    Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
    Standing on the promises of God.

Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I'm standing on the promises of God.

2. Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
    When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
  By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
  Standing on the promises of God.

3. Standing on the promises I now can see
    Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
    Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
    Standing on the promises of God.

4. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
    Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord,
    Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword,
    Standing on the promises of God.

5. Standing on the promises I shall not fall,
    List'ning every moment to the Spirit's call.
    Resting in my Savior as my All in all,
    Standing on the promises of God.

Sowing in the morning

1. Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
    Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
    Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping.
    We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves :
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

2. Sowing in the sunshine, sowing in the shadows,
    Fearing neither clouds nor winter's chilling breeze;
    By and by, the harvest and the labor ended,
    We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

3. Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,
    Tho', the loss sustained, our spirit often grieves;
    When our weeping's over, He will bid us welcome,
    We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Sinners Jesus will receive

Sinners Jesus will receive - Sound this word of grace to all
Who the heavenly pathway leave All who linger, all who fall.

Sing it o'er and o'er again - Christ receiveth sinful men;
Make the message clear and plain: Christ receiveth sinful men.

2. Come, and He will give you rest - Trust Him for His word is plain ;
    He will take the sinfulest Christ receiveth sinful men.

3 Now my heart condemns me not Pure before the law I stand ;
  He who cleansed me from all spot - Satisfied its last demand.

4. Christ receiveth sinful men - Even me with all my sin ;
    Purged from every spot and stain Glory I shall enter in.

Sing them over again to me

1. Sing them over again to me - wonderful words of life !
    Let me more of their beauty see - wonderful words of life !
    Words of life and beauty - teach me faith and duty.

Beautiful words! wonderful words! - Wonderful words of life !
Beautiful words! wonderful words! - Wonderful words of life

2. Christ, the Blessed One, gives to all wonderful words of life!
    Sinner, list to the loving call wonderful words of life !
    All so freely given wooing us to heaven!

3. Sweetly echo the gospel call - wonderful words of life !
  Offer pardon and peace to all wonderful words of life !
  Jesus, only Saviour - sanctify for ever !

Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright!

1. Silent night! Holy night! All is calm, all is bright!
    Round you virgin Mother and child,
    Holy Infant so tender and mild,
    Sleep in heavenly peace Sleep in heavenly peace.

2. Silent night! holy night! - Shepherds quake at the Sight;
    Glories Stream from heaven afar,
    Heavenly hosts sing Hallelujah,
    Christ the Saviour is born! Christ the Saviour is born!

3. Silent night! holy night! Son of God, Love's pure light
    Radiant beams from Thy holy face,
    With the dawn of redeeming grace,
    Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth.

Have you been to Jesus

1. Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow'r?     Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb ?     Are you fully trusting in His grac...
