I must tell Jesus all of my trials

1. I must tell Jesus all of my trials
    I cannot bear these burdens alone;
    In my distress He kindly will help me;
    He ever loves and cares for His own.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus !
I cannot bear my burdens alone ;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus !
Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.

2. I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
    He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
    If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
    And in my griefs with me He will blend.

3. Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
    One who can help my burdens to bea r;
    I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
    He all my cares and sorrows will share,

4. O how the world to evil allures me!
    O how my heart is tempted to sin!
    I must tell Jesus; He will enable
  Over the world the vic'try to win.

I know not why God's wondrous grace

1. I know not why God's wondrous grace - To me He hath made known,
    Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love - Redeemed me for His own.

But "I know Whom I have believed
And am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I've committed
Unto Him against that day."

2. I know not how this saving faith - To me He did impart,
    Nor how believing in His word - Wrought peace within my heart.

3. I know not how the Spirit moves - Convincing men of sin,
    Revealing Jesus through the Word - Creating faith in Him.

4. I know not what of good or ill - May be reserved for me,
  Of weary ways or golden days - Before His face I see.

5. I know not when my Lord may come At night or noon-day fair,
    Nor if I'll walk the vale with Him - Or "meet Him in the air."

I have found a friend in Jesus

1. I have found a friend in Jesus, He's ev'rything to me,
    He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
    The Apple-tree of trees, in Him alone I see
    All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
    In sorrow He's my comfort, in trouble He's my stay,
    He tells me every care on Him to roll:
    He's the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
    He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

2. He all my griefs has taken, and all my sorrows borne;
    In temptation He's my strong and mighty tower;
    I've all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
    From my heart, and now He keeps me by His power.
    Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
    Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal:
    He's the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
    He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

3. He'll never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,
    While I live by faith and do His blessed will;
    A wall of fire about me, I've nothing now to fear,
  With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
  Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face,
  Where rivers of delight shall ever roll:
  He's the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
  He's the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

it came upon the midnight clear

1. it came upon the midnight clear That glories song of old,
From angels bending near the earth - To touch their harps of gold
Peace on the earth, good will to men
From heaven's all gracious king

The world in solemn stillness lay To hear the angels sing.

2. Still through the cloven skies they come
    With peaceful wings unfurled;
    And still their heavenly music floats O'er all the weary world;

3. Above its sad and lowly plains - They bend on hovering wing,
  And ever, O'er its Babel sounds - The blessed angles sing.

4. All ye, beneath life's crushing load
  Whose forms are bending low,
  Who toil along the climbing way - With painful steps and slow;

5. Look now I for glad and golden hours - Come swiftly on the wing;
    Oh, rest beside the weary road And hear the angels sing !

6. For lo ! the days are hastening on By prophet-bards foretold,
    When, with the ever-circling years - Comes round the age of gold
    When peace shall over all the earth Its ancient splendors fling
    And the whole world sends back the song
    Which now the angels sing!

I want to be like Jesus - So lowly and so meek;

1. I want to be like Jesus - So lowly and so meek;
    For no one marked an angry word - That ever heard him speak.

I want to be like Jesus - God's well beloved Son;
I want to be like Jesus - The pure and holy One

2. I want to be like Jesus - So frequently in prayer;
    Alone upon the mountain top He met his Father there

3. I want to be like Jesus - Engaged in doing good,
    So that of me it may be said - He hath done what he could

4. Alas! I'm not like Jesus - As any one may see;
  Thy gentle Spirit, Savior, send - And make me like to thee

I need Thee every hour - Most gracious Lord;

1. I need Thee every hour - Most gracious Lord;
    No tender voice like Thine Can peace afford.

     I need Thee, oh, I need Thee - Every hour I need Thee;
    Oh, bless me now, my Savior! - I come to Thee.

2. I need Thee every hour - Stay Thou near by:
    Temptations lose their power - When Thou art nigh.

3. I need Thee every hour In joy or pain;
    Come quickly and abide Or life is vain.

4. I need Thee every hour - Teach me Thy will;
    And Thy rich promises In me fulfill.

5. I need Thee every hour - Most Holy One;
    Oh, make me Thine indeed - Thou blessed Son.

lam Thine, O Lord I have heard Thy voice

1. lam Thine, O Lord I have heard Thy voice,
    As it told Thy love to me;
    But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
    And be closer drawn to Thee;

Draw me near......er, nearer, blessed Lord.
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, wounded side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service,
    Lord, By the power of grace divine;
    Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
    And my will be lost in Thine;

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
    That before Thy throne I spend,
    When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
    I commune as friend with friend.

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
    Till I cross the narrow sea;
    There are heights of joy that I may not reach
    Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Have you been to Jesus

1. Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing pow'r?     Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb ?     Are you fully trusting in His grac...
